A Dark Sky Over Paradise

A Dark Sky Over Paradise is a video game in the adventure genre and published by Interactive Technology originally released in 1989. It is currently playable on Commodore 64.

In the future, Earth's resources have been depleted by the increasing population and the future of mankind looks very bleak and difficult. The governing body, Four Nations, has devised a plan to colonize Mars in order to send the surplus of men to alleviate Earth's problems. Construction begins well, but the cost spirals out of control and Earth goes into a deep recession. Years later, the project is progressing, but very slowly, and you have been sent to a lunar base for some unknown instructions that may be related to launching a rocket and maintaining the colonization project. While you are summoned to various meetings, a bomb explodes and you discover that it is from a terrorist group called the Mining Group that is trying to prevent the rocket from launching.

In this text adventure you have to explore various locations described by text, to discover what your mission is, find out more about the terrorist group and what their motives are. Type commands with the keyboard to interact with places, objects and people.
