Description ABM
A Missile Command clone that puts the player in charge of defending the U. S. East Coast from nuclear attack. Enemy warheads rain down from the sky, targeting six cities (Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington and Richmond) and the five anti-ballistic missile bases between them, under the player's command. The central, left and right launchers are equipped with standard 1-kiloton missiles, while the other two carry 5-kiloton missiles, which produce larger explosions.
Incoming missiles are destroyed when caught in the blast radius of the ABM, and some of them may explode in a fireball of their own, causing a possible chain reaction (which can be exploited to save shots). Especially dangerous are MIRVs, which in mid-flight release their payload of additional warheads aimed at multiple targets. The game ends when all six cities are destroyed, and the final score rewards both ammunition conservation and the number of incoming missiles intercepted.
