Activator

Activator is a video game in the action genre and published by Cascade Games, Ltd. originally released in 1986. It is currently playable on Amstrad CPC.

Activator is a side-screen maze game, in which you control a Activator Pod sent to the Antari Spaceport which lies on the edge of the Sol Galaxy. An unknown energy source has rendered any carbon-based life forms and their equipment inactive, and when the last of the energy has been drained, a distress signal has been sent, and you have picked it up and found the location of the Spaceport from it. You are the commander of a Federation patrol and spaceport protection ship, and when you got close enough to Antari you sent the Activator Pod inside. The objective of the Pod, under your control, is to find fuel rods to activate power and place them in room 97.

You can only carry three items at a time and other items to look out for are bullets and key passes. The bullets allow you to shoot and destroy the various aliens that roam the corridors of Antari, and if you touch one, you lose part of the energy meter. When the meter is empty, you lose one of your nine lives. The pass-keys allow you to pass through doors, but both are labeled with letters A through G and can only be used if the letters match.
