Aftermath

Aftermath is a video game in the action genre and published by Alpha-Omega Software originally released in 1986. It is currently playable on Commodore 64.

Earth is in ruins, devastated by the invasion and destruction of the Saurians from a distant galaxy. You are the last remaining fighter pilot and you have sworn to avenge them by flying over the surface through several levels and destroying their ships, ground facilities and finally their Strategic Command Center. At the end of each level there is a huge ground facility that you have to destroy to move on to the next level.

In this vertical scrolling shooter game, in which the screen is constantly scrolling, you control a VelosCraft and with your weapon destroy waves of alien ships. On the surface there are scattered ground facilities and, with your bombsight on one of them, you pull down and press the fire button to release a bomb. The further you advance in the game, the more the ground facilities fire back at you. If you touch an alien ship or get shot at, you lose one of your three lives. Before starting the game you can select the skill level (1-5) and if you want to practice as well.
