Airstrike

Airstrike is a video game in the action genre and published by English Software Company, The originally released in 1982. It is currently playable on Atari 8-bit.

The military force of the planet Cyclon is centered on the Gemini fortress. They are outnumbering your people in an ongoing war: only one of your agile and fast Mark V fighters is intact. It seems the only hope is for a skilled pilot like you to single-handedly attack Gemini, using your laser cannon and Quark bomb to devastate their facilities and ships.

The gameplay replicates that of Scramble, looking from side to side with gradual scrolling. You infiltrate the cavernous system, avoiding contact with the spiked walls and gun turrets, or the numerous ships and bombs swarming to block you. The final challenge is to open an airlock with an accurate center shot. You must go through it several times, with more and more enemies each time.

You have limited ammo and fuel, and you use up fuel faster as you travel faster. Fortunately, the cavern has many supply depots, whose contents, either fuel (F) or ammo (A), can be stolen by shooting at the center of the surrounding shields.
