Alexey's Dwice

Alexey's Dwice is a video game in the puzzle genre developed by WildSnake Software and published by Greenstreet Software Ltd. originally released in 2006. It is currently playable on Windows.

Alexey's Dwice is a game invented by Alexey Pajitonov, the creator of 'Tetris'. Blocks of various shapes flow across the screen. The goal is to stop them by combining blocks of the same shape and clicking on them. When blocks of the same shape are combined together, they explode and temporarily prevent other blocks from descending. If you click on the same shape with the same color, you get more points. You can also get items such as dynamite (which explodes blocks to form small simple shapes like squares), ice picks (which destroy a single shape) and lines of fire (which erase blocks from the screen).

The game has two modes: quest and arcade. In the former, you choose a starting point on the map and play to unlock other locations of increasing difficulty. In Arcade mode, you only play to avoid progressively more difficult levels (i. e. there are two or more screens of blocks to control).
