Aliens Versus Predator is a video game in the action genre developed by Rebellion Developments Ltd. and published by Fox Interactive, Inc. originally released in 1999. It is currently playable on Windows.

Aliens Versus Predator is a sci-fi first-person shooter game based on the two associated film franchises. The game features three playable species, and each has its own single-player campaign with different missions and storylines.Aliens.... Their only weapons are their own body parts: claws for melee combat, their deadly tail, and their inner mouth, which can pierce an enemy's skull (to kill them instantly) if they are close enough. They are lethal at close range and can be healed by eating corpses or heads of unsuspecting enemies. They cannot be injured by falling, and an alternate mode of vision allows them to see clearly through darkness. Their strength lies in flexibility and speed, and the ability to cling to walls and run across any surface, allowing a skilled player to escape or ambush from literally any direction in 3D.
Humans... U.S. Marines, played by Michael Biehn in the movie 'Aliens'. The Marines have a wealth of firepower ranging from the auto-tracking SmartGun, to rocket launchers and six-barreled miniguns (as seen in 'Predator'). Marines are the most familiar species to play, with the play style of the typical FPS hero. However, their fragility at close range, and missions that leave them stranded, alone, surrounded by bloodthirsty aliens, make their experience closer to survival horror.
Predators... Their power is their strength, and their eyesight. They have at least four ways of seeing the environment: standard vision, thermal vision (to highlight Marines), electromagnetic vision (to highlight aliens) and 'Pred-Tech' (to highlight fellow Predators and their technology). Their weapons are the most accurate, deadly and longest-ranged in the game, making them ideal for stealth-based gameplay. Predators also have the ability to zoom in and out when searching for someone, allowing them to shoot from afar. Their camouflage ability also makes them nearly invisible to enemy marines.There are several multiplayer modes. For a challenging match, you can pit all players against the horde of computer creatures (which includes experimental robotic aliens and tough Predalien hybrids). Alternatively, players can choose their favorite species and face off in an arena-style deathmatch.
