Alpha Beam with Ernie is a video game in the puzzle genre developed by Atari, Inc. and published by Atari, Inc. originally released in 1983. It is currently playable on Atari 2600.
Ernie's ship has run out of fuel and it's up to you to help him.
Use the buttons on the controller to move your ship left and right to transport the letters to the correct slots on Ernie's ship. When all the letters are lined up, Ernie can fly away.
This game helps children learn to recognize letters, match uppercase and lowercase letters, and distinguish letters that are easily confused. Alpha Beam with Ernie is designed for ages 3 to 7.
The game manual also includes a story to read to children.
