Amazon Warrior

Amazon Warrior is a video game in the action genre developed by New Generation Software Ltd. and published by New Generation Software Ltd. originally released in 1985. It is currently playable on Commodore 64.

In the Amazon jungle, a lone warrior has to face seven challenges, which basically consist of killing the creatures and obstacles he will encounter. The warrior is equipped with a blowgun and a limited supply of darts to fend off these dangers and help him survive.

The first three challenges take place in the jungle, where the warrior has to face snakes, scorpions, headhunters and spears. The fourth and fifth challenges take place in the caves, and the warrior must face vampire bats and wraiths. In the fifth challenge, which takes place in the ancient ruins, falling spiders and rubble blocks try to kill the warrior. If he succeeds, he will have to defeat Quetzalcoatus, a giant bird that is desperate to carry him off in its jaws.

To shoot a dart, the warrior must first load the blowgun. The blowgun can move in different positions, in the form of an arc. In addition, the warrior must shoot a certain number of creatures to pass to the next challenge, a number that increases in each of the four levels of difficulty. When the warrior starts a challenge, except for the last two, he receives three lives and a new supply of darts.
