Description Apple Panic

Apple Panic is a platform game based on the arcade game Space Panic (1980, Universal) and ported to the Apple II by Ben Serki. You control a digger, armed with his shovel, and must kill your opponents: the evil apples with legs.

Your character can only walk left/right and up/down stairs - no jumping - and if the apples touch you, you lose.

To kill an apple you must dig a hole in the ground and wait for one of them to get stuck in it. Then you must hit it with your shovel to make it fall to the level below. Apples die if they fall deep enough. Depending on their color, they may require 1 to 3 levels to fall, so you may have to dig several holes lined up. Also, the deeper the drop, the higher your score.

Each level is timed, so you must get all the apples out quickly or you will lose. If you succeed, the following levels will feature more and more enemies than the previous one.
