AxTrons is a video game in the action genre originally released in 1989. It is currently playable on DOS.

AxTrons is a survival trap game that takes place on a randomly generated playing field. You, puny earthling, are thrown onto the arena floor where ten enslaving aliens await you, with nothing but your wits and an assortment of traps to get you through. If you make it out alive, you may be deemed worthy of joining the InnerGalactic ParaGlomerate, whatever that may be.... but can you survive?

You start each round with a limited amount of energy, which can be increased by collecting energy packs and power coins (bystanders occasionally throw new coins onto the field). As the aliens try to hunt you down, you must eliminate them by setting traps, spikes and grids; each type of device has a different tactical use. You can also engage enemies in melee combat, which mutually depletes your energy counts until the strongest survives. Moving and dropping traps also costs energy, so every little drop counts.
