Description Battlefield 2: Booster Pack - Armored Fury
Battlefield 2: Booster Pack – Armored Fury expands the modern-combat battlefield with three large North American maps: Operation Harvest, Midnight Sun, and Road Rage. The Middle Eastern Coalition has carried the conflict onto American soil, placing United States forces in unfamiliar rural, industrial, and northern environments. Each map supports the series’ large-scale Conquest battles, with capture points distributed across broad terrain and strategic routes connecting farms, highways, oil facilities, warehouses, and military positions.
Operation Harvest is built around open farmland, country roads, grain silos, and scattered buildings, giving armor and aircraft plenty of room to maneuver. Midnight Sun shifts the action to a colder northern setting, where forests, industrial installations, and wide stretches of tundra create long sight lines and concealed approaches. Road Rage concentrates the fighting around a sprawling highway and commercial district. Bridges, ramps, service roads, and construction areas divide the battlefield into overlapping zones, making control of transportation routes essential to a successful advance.
Armored Fury adds two American vehicles to the Battlefield 2 arsenal. The A-10 Thunderbolt II is a heavily armed ground-attack aircraft designed to punish armored columns and fortified positions with rockets and its powerful cannon. Its low-level attack runs demand careful timing, since the aircraft is vulnerable to anti-aircraft fire and enemy fighters. The AH-6 Little Bird provides a fast, agile helicopter platform for attack and transport duties, allowing skilled pilots to circle capture zones, harass infantry, and move squad members rapidly between objectives.
The established Battlefield 2 class system remains central to every engagement. Assault, Medic, Support, Engineer, Anti-Tank, Special Forces, and Sniper soldiers each contribute distinct weapons and equipment, while squad organization and commander support coordinate the wider battle. Artillery, UAV reconnaissance, supply drops, and vehicle repairs can determine the result of a contested objective. Open countryside favors tanks and air power, but wooded approaches, buildings, and highway structures give infantry opportunities to ambush vehicles and seize positions from unexpected directions.
Visually, the booster pack combines detailed military hardware with expansive American scenery. Dust, smoke, foliage, concrete, steel, and weathered industrial surfaces give each map a recognizable character while preserving the scale of the main game. Engine noise, rotor wash, automatic weapons, artillery impacts, and the roar of the A-10 create a constantly shifting soundscape. Battles move between tense patrols and sudden combined-arms assaults, with the momentum changing whenever a squad captures a key flag, destroys a vehicle, or opens a new route behind enemy lines.
