Beyond Shadowgate is a video game in the adventure genre developed by ICOM Simulations, Inc. and published by Turbo Technologies, Inc. originally released in 1993. It is currently playable on TurboGrafx CD.

Beyond Shadowgate, the 1993 TurboGrafx CD game, was an incredibly ambitious release in the peak of its time. The world of Shadowgate was a spooky, magical realm of mystery, adventure, puzzles, and dangers, and Beyond Shadowgate took the experience of the climactic Castle Shadowgate even further. The game challenges players to solve puzzles, wield weapons, unearth secrets, and battle monsters in a traditional point-and-click interface.

Players performed their way through the eerie, mystical game world as they inspect objects, interact with a vast number of characters, and wandered through atmospheric backgrounds in their search for a variety of valuable items spread throughout the castle. Along the way, players can expect to stumble upon varying locations, from intricate armories to hellish dungeons, as well as end up in alternate dimensions such as Hell and Purgatory.

Additionally, Beyond Shadowgate implemented unique game mechanics such as a real-time combat system, 8-directional movement, cinematic sequences, and a complete inventory management system that players had to master if they were to possess any chance of surviving the treacherous journey.
