Big Guns is a battleship dueling game in which two Iowa-class battleships fight.
One player controls the USS New Jersey and the other player (or the computer) controls the USS Iowa. Each battleship carries 64 aircraft of which 3 at a time can be used to attack the other battleship. The game also features the USS Harry E. Yarnell, the USS Biddle, the USS Richmond K. Turner, the USS Josephus Daniels, the Titanic, the Olympic and the Lusitania. The three civilian ships serve as depot ships and will supply the combatants with fuel and new aircraft. In addition to the main guns and aircraft, each battleship has 99 Harpoon missiles that can be used to sink the enemy. The number of kills to win the game can be set between 1 and 20.
