Description Blue Thunder
Blue Thunder is a side-scrolling shooter game, related to the short-lived TV series of the same name, in which you pilot a new 'jetcopter' as the sole survivor of an alien assault.
If you succeed, you can try again at a higher difficulty level, where you'll face enemies with a higher rate of fire, aircraft, barrage balloons and missile-armed submarines. In the meantime, you'll have to keep an eye on your dwindling fuel reserve. Your jetcopter can shoot at any angle it flies, even straight down.
The C64 version scrolls in reverse and has some minor differences in the environment graphics. The Atari 8-Bit version was later re-released with a new TV show license (Airwolf) and a new helicopter model.
