Bully's Sporting Darts

Bully's Sporting Darts is a video game in the simulation genre developed by Alternative Software Ltd. and published by Alternative Software Ltd. originally released in 1993. It is currently playable on DOS, Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, Commodore 64.

Do you like playing darts? Would you like to have the opportunity to play darts on your computer? This is your chance.

This game offers seven scoring styles such as Golf, Cricket and the normal 501 scoring style. Choose how you want to score the game and enter to play. Aim your dart with the joystick or keyboard, let it fly and hope you hit something good.

The game automatically scores for you, so if you don't know how to score a game of darts, you can still play. However, knowing what to aim for is helpful in achieving high scores.

The dart games included in this package are:501
This is the classic darts game where both players start with 501 points. Scores are reduced by the amount each player scores when it is their turn to throw. A game ends when a player reduces his score to zero by getting a double. A game is best of three legs.

Clock round
The player must hit each number in turn, starting with one and ending with the bullseye. A game is best of three legs.

Soccer
In this timed game, the number of each segment plays no role in this game. Players take turns hitting a sequence of beds that advances toward the opponent's goal. The winner is the player who has scored the most goals when time runs out.

Tennis
The serving player must hit doubles, the receiving player must hit triples. The server has two chances to hit his designated bed to 'serve' the ball. If unsuccessful, the point goes to the receiver. If successful, the receiver must hit his designated triple bed. This is repeated until a player fails to hit the ball. Scoring is like in tennis. A match consists of the best of three sets.

Golf
Only numbers one through eighteen are used in this game, representing the eighteen holes on the golf course. The object is to hit each number three times, hitting a double or triple counts as two or three respectively, starting with one and working up to eighteen. The winner is the player who completes the game with the least number of darts.

Cricket
In this game, players represent batsmen and cricket bowlers. The 'bowler' attempts to bowl out the batsmen by hitting either the inside target or the bullseye, the inside one eliminates one batsman, the bullseye eliminates two.

Snooker
All numbers count in this game, numbers one to fifteen represent the fifteen red balls on the snooker table, while the remaining numbers represent the colors, sixteen is yellow and so on up to twenty is black.To score, or pocket a ball, that ball has to be hit by the player in sequence. Red balls must be hit once and colored balls four times (doubles and triples count as two and three hits respectively). The game follows that of snooker in the sense that after pocketing a red ball one must try to pocket a color, hitting a ball out of sequence ends a turn and points are lost, etc. The player with the highest score wins.
