Description Burnout: Championship Drag Racing
Burnout is a racing simulator dedicated to the world of drag racing. You have to tune your car in the hope of being able to take it to incredible speeds on short, linear circuits. And this is what most of the game does, a dizzying array of customization options are available for you to build the perfect hotrod, essentially making it a 'grease monkey' simulation.
Additional features include bracket racing (where you select an estimated time based on your practice runs, and try to achieve it against other cars), speed racing, and a full season against 64 computer-controlled cars. There are also multiplayer races via modem, LAN or Internet.
The graphics engine is an enhanced version of the X-Car engine and supports 3D acceleration with all sorts of nifty effects like smoke, sparks, tire distortion, etc.
