Description C5 Clive

The C5 electric car was not a great success for Sir Clive Sinclair, and largely undid the reputation he had built up with inventions like the Spectrum. This budget-priced game was not alone in making a mockery of him. The player steps into the shoes of Clive aboard the car and must navigate a succession of screens that alternate between two different styles.

The odd levels involve dodging hazards such as trees, ghosts and brick walls to collect batteries; contact with any of these costs you a life. Objects are drawn as if they were 3D, but contact with any part of them costs. Even levels play out like a simplified Moon Patrol, as Clive must jump over cars and pedestrians.
