Charly Diams is an action-adventure game in which a young boy, Charlie, searches for the hiding place of a treasure containing a blue diamond. Players must help Charlie collect seven miraculous flowers scattered around the world to reveal this location. Charlie can walk, jump normally, jump high, swim, dive, change clothes and regain stamina in locations such as green plains, snowy mountains, hot deserts and warm seas. The circular game world is separated by static screens, and Charlie can move from one adjacent screen to another in any order. Stamina decreases with each move and is recovered by drinking liquids and breathing seawater. While drinking fluids, the girls who recommend them dance. To survive in areas with different climates and specifications, Charlie's clothes must be changed manually in a special house. An encounter with a deadly scorpion or a crazed gunman, a fall from a mountain trail, drowning in water or a total loss of stamina could cost Charlie his life and one of his three lives.
