Chrono Quest II

Chrono Quest II is a video game in the adventure genre developed by SARL Infomedia and published by 16 32 Diffusion SARL originally released in 1989. It is currently playable on DOS, Amiga, Atari ST.

This is a sequel to Chrono Quest, which is part of a series of games called Explora in their original French versions. After the events of the first game, you attempt to return to 1922 France, your own time period. A disruption in Explora, your time machine, causes it to run out of all its metal fuel, leaving you stranded in an unknown era. You have to find enough metal so that Explora can return you to your place in time.

The original point-and-click interface (text-based with auxiliary icons) has been replaced with a fully icon-based one. There is a row of icons at the bottom of the screen with movement arrows, a save game icon, 'get', 'give', 'examine', etc. Conversations with characters have a basic form of voice synthesis that can be turned off (the full text of the dialogue is displayed anyway). The game features 13 different locations and multiple time stages.
