Description Computer Acquire
Computer Acquire is an adaptation of Avalon Hill's Acquire board game. As in most high finance games, it is about making profits by buying low and selling high. Instead of normal commodity or utility markets, the simulation is based on hotel property stocks with hotel mergers and chaining. The goal is to spot bargains early, when the price is right, and add more hotel chains in which you have a majority stake. Add a little luck in the market and win by becoming the richest player. The game is turn-based and allows you to play against the computer with up to six other players or let the computer play alone while you watch. The game has five skill levels and the hotel chains have seven classes, from moderate to prestigious. Each player starts with $6,000 and the game usually ends when a chain has at least 41 hotels.
