Cosmic Creeps is a video game in the action genre developed by Telesys and published by Telesys originally released in 1982. It is currently playable on Atari 2600.
Civilization is doomed! You are our last hope! You must protect the Cosmic Kids from the Cosmic Creeps and help them escape from the planet's collapsed orbit!
The first half of the game is a 'journey'. You start at the bottom with the Orbinat. You must navigate to the space station at the top while avoiding plasma moving up and down and space beetles moving left to right and right to left. If you hit something, you will spin around in space and have to start over. However, if you drop a new Orbinaut, the planet may decay a bit!
The second part is 'Rescue'. The Cosmic Kid starts at the bottom left of the screen and moves up one level to the right and then to the left, while being chased by one or two Cosmic Creeps . You must maneuver the space station to shoot at the right time, hit the creeps and bring them to the bottom. If your shot hits the creep, a new creep must start from the bottom and the planet's orbit will decay some more.
The game ends when the planet's orbit decays completely or the Cosmic Creep reaches the top right corner of the screen. You earn 100 points for each creep you shoot and 1500 points for each KID you let escape to safety. Once you score 5000 points in the rescue screen, you can advance to the next level and start your journey again.
