Crash Garrett

Crash Garrett is a video game in the adventure genre developed by ERE Informatique and published by Metal Hurlant originally released in 1987. It is currently playable on DOS.

Crash Garrett is an adventure in the style of the classic movie serials of the 1930s: you step into the shoes of the dashing Crash Garrett, an aviation ace who makes a living flying rich Hollywood types around the West Coast of the United States on private flights. At the beginning of the game, Garrett takes journalist Cynthia Sleeze on an exclusive interview with a powerful psychoanalyst to the stars as part of a red-hot story. He soon gets caught up in the story and must use his wits, his wits, and his fists to save the day.

Although the game accepts written commands, the action is shown as a sort of animated comic book. There is a background image that sets the scene (this can be a minimap, showing Garrett's current location marked with a red X) and above it are comic panel portraits of the characters encountered in the scene, who move around the screen and speak in speech bubbles.
