Description Crazee Rider

Crazee Rider is the spiritual successor to Superior Software's Overdrive. Originally conceived as a car racing game, it became a motorcycle racing game during its development. Players have to race their opponents on different tracks, starting at position 60. To progress, the player has to finish in the top six of the pack in a single lap. Compared to Overdrive, there are more opportunities to avoid opponents and the tracks also have curves. Two keys are used to accelerate or slow down and another two to drive. For extra points, it is possible to crash into the sides of other opponents. This does not slow them down, it just gives them points. If they are hit from behind, the player's motorcycle slows down considerably. This also happens when hitting the curb when cornering at high speed. A mini-map of the track is shown at the top of the screen, along with the score. The current position and speed are shown at the bottom.

The BBC Micro version contains a standard and an enhanced version. The enhanced version uses different colors, has more variety in the opponents' clothing and contains a music track.
