Crystalize! is a video game in the puzzle genre developed by Webfoot Technologies, Inc. and published by ValuSoft, Inc. originally released in 2005. It is currently playable on Windows.

Crystalize! is a fast-paced Windows puzzle game centered on the collection and arrangement of brightly colored crystals. Each stage presents a playing field filled with loose crystal pieces, while new gems enter from above or appear along the edges as the game progresses. The objective is to form groups of matching crystals before the board becomes overcrowded. Groups can be cleared by aligning three or more identical pieces, with larger formations producing higher scores and creating valuable chain reactions.

The basic controls are simple, but successful play depends on planning several moves ahead. Crystals may be shifted into open spaces, exchanged with neighboring pieces, or rotated into useful positions, depending on the selected game mode. Clearing a group causes nearby pieces to collapse into the gaps, often producing additional matches without further input. Special crystals are created by forming larger combinations or completing particular patterns. These include pieces that clear an entire row, remove surrounding gems, or change the color of nearby crystals. Careful use of these powers is essential in the later stages, where ordinary matches become increasingly difficult to arrange.

The game is set within a series of underground crystal chambers, each presented as a distinct themed environment. Early levels use cool blue caverns and simple formations, while later areas introduce volcanic chambers, frozen grottoes, ancient ruins, and brilliantly illuminated geode halls. Background details remain unobtrusive so that the playing field is easy to read, although animated glints, drifting particles, and faintly shimmering walls give each location a sense of depth. Crystal pieces are large, sharply outlined, and richly colored, with flashes of light appearing whenever a group is completed or a chain reaction begins.

Several play options are provided for different styles of play. A story-like progression leads through increasingly demanding chambers, adding new crystal types, tighter time limits, and blocked sections of the board. Timed play challenges the player to achieve the highest score before the clock expires, while an endurance mode continues until no more moves are available. A relaxed setting removes the time pressure and allows players to experiment with combinations. High-score tables record the best performances, rewarding both quick decisions and carefully constructed chains.

Audio effects provide a clear response to every action. Gem movements produce light clicks and chiming tones, while matches trigger brighter notes that rise in pitch as combinations grow larger. Large chain reactions are accompanied by fuller bursts of sound and sparkling visual effects. The background music uses gentle electronic melodies in the quieter chambers and more urgent rhythms during timed stages. With its straightforward controls, colorful presentation, and progressively demanding puzzles, Crystalize! offers short, accessible sessions as well as extended challenges for players seeking larger combinations and higher scores.
