CubeMaster

CubeMaster is a video game in the action genre developed by ASDG Incorporated and published by ASDG Incorporated originally released in 1988. It is currently playable on Amiga.

CubeMaster is an arcade action game in the style of Asteroids. In the game, a CubeMaster is a combination of athlete and astronaut whose task is to defeat wave after wave of CubeDrones. As in Asteroids, the player moves his ship (the manned mobility unit) through a zero-gravity environment in which the player can use a thrust to move forward and an opposing force to slow down, as well as turn left and right. The drones come in two sizes. If large ones are shot, they will break into smaller ones. If the smaller drones are not destroyed quickly enough, they will revert to the larger size. The player's cannon heats up as it is used and when it overheats it needs some time to cool down.

Different colored drones have different abilities and if the player is not fast enough to shoot them down they will change. Among them are the yellow ones that when touched will cause the player's controls to become confused. Others are the blue ones that decrease the firing power, the red ones that deplete the shield and the dark gray ones that when fired allow the player to pass through other drones. There are also the green drones, which do not change color, and require several shots to shoot them down. In addition to the drones there are also other bad guys that try to trap the player.
