Dead Force

Dead Force is a video game in the strategy genre developed by Fuga System Corp. and published by Fuga System Corp. originally released in 1994. It is currently playable on PC-98.

In the center of the continent of Lorelei lies the Karma mountain range, which separates two cultures. To the east is the peaceful, rural federation of Canaan. To the west is Dardila, the land of the monks. The peaceful days of these nations ended when a meteorite fell on Dardila, gradually turning the monks evil. War broke out and the forces of Dardila invaded Canaan. Marion, the crown prince of Canaan, has just turned fourteen and has to face the tremendous responsibility of commanding his army and winning the war.

Dead Force is a tactical role-playing game. The entire game consists of large-scale battles between armies. Each unit is represented by a single character icon. Soldiers share life points, equipment, and levels, and are generally treated as separate characters that can be navigated on the turn-based battle screen. When a player-controlled unit is adjacent to an enemy, a battle ensues, which is automatically played out and displayed on a separate screen.
