Deadlock: Planetary Conquest is a video game in the strategy genre developed by Accolade, Inc. and published by GT Interactive Software Europe Ltd. originally released in 1997. It is currently playable on Mac.

Deadlock: Planetary Conquest is a 2D turn-based 4X strategy game. Players take the role of aliens trapped on the surface of a planet. The game has seven different races with special abilities, for example the Maugs are great scientists, the ChCh-T have the highest birth rate, and so on. They spend turns building, expanding and, finally, warring. The surface of the planet is divided into smaller zones. Each zone houses one of the cities to be built. To colonize a new zone, the player must build a colonizer. Players can expand their cities by erecting residential buildings, farms, factories, mines and research centers. Inventions made in the latter provide new units, new materials and better buildings (for example, a hydroponic farm is much better than a normal farm). The satisfaction of the inhabitants is important: dissatisfied citizens (taxes are too high) protest and do not work.

The battle begins after the player places his units in a foreign land. Battles are animated separately - after they are started players have no control over them. The game also has an espionage mechanic that spies can use to steal technologies. The player wins by fulfilling one of the victory conditions, for example, by being the last living race on the planet, or by first reaching a certain number of urban centers.
