Description Death in the Caribbean

Death in the Caribbean is an old-style text and graphic adventure game. You are a treasure hunter on an unnamed Caribbean island searching for buried pirate gold. You will travel through numerous locations, a complicated maze and pass ferocious alligators on your way to the chest of doblons. The puzzles range from 'find an object and apply it to the situation' to a cryptogram.

In terms of mechanics, the graphic section of the screen draws itself with visible pencil elements (ie: Outline, then fill, move to the next shape). Below the graphic window is a simple command line with a small space above it for the brief written description of the area you are in. Like any good adventure game, the puzzles start out easy and get harder as you progress, until they become just plain difficult. Play time is about 30 hours. It comes on 4 sides of a disk, the front and back of two floppy disks. This game does not innovate in the genre, and builds on the gameplay of its predecessors.
