Death Trap is a video game in the action genre developed by Anco Software Ltd. and published by Anco Software Ltd. originally released in 1990. It is currently playable on Amiga, Atari ST.
Death Trap is a side-scrolling platformer with slight puzzle-solving elements that don't usually go beyond finding levers to move to the next part of the map. The theme of the game is medieval fantasy and takes place in a castle (divided into five levels) which is where the trap of the title comes from. The trap has been set by the wizard king Shankriya and has existed for five centuries. The players' job is to make things right again. The game has a wide variety of enemies, from ghosts to fireball-throwing wizards. Upon defeating some enemies, the player receives a vial with some liquid that can be converted into spells and so on.
