Defenders of Oasis is a video game in the role-playing (rpg) genre developed by SEGA Enterprises Ltd. and published by SEGA Enterprises Ltd. originally released in 1992. It is currently playable on Game Gear.
A long, long time ago, the legendary King Jamseed defeated the evil Ahriman, the spirit of darkness. But just before that, Ahriman managed to send into the world his most horrifying servant: the dragon Zahhark. Years passed, Zahhark was defeated by Jamseed's descendants, but his own descendants continued to threaten the kingdom of Shanadar. Many generations later, you, the young prince of Shanadar, have to face evil. Zahhark's descendants plan to destroy the kingdom, and the prince must first seek help in a neighboring country, accompanied by a beautiful princess, the genie of a lamp and other friends.
This is a traditional Japanese-style role-playing game. The player controls the Prince and members of his party, visiting various locations, buying and finding items, and fighting random enemies and bosses in turn-based combat viewed from the first-person perspective.
