Destruction Zone is a shareware tank game for one to three players.
It is played in an arena with six players, the human player(s) and the robot player(s). It is controlled entirely with the keyboard and the keys can be redefined. The story of the game explains that the tanks are made up of three large colored fuel cylinders that get darker as the tank runs out of fuel, which perfectly explains the simple triangular shapes used to represent them.
Games consist of a series of battles, from a minimum of three to a maximum of ninety-nine, and after every three battles players can spend the points they have earned in the store to upgrade their tank. There are five different types of tanks available in the store and each tank has seven weapon ports for which there is a wide range of weapons ranging from standard missiles and lasers to the 'death touch' and 'glow shields'.
