Eye of the Kraken
The original story begins on a sailing ship on the high seas. An important document needs to be delivered to Heard Island as soon as possible, and you, Abdullah, have been chosen as its courier. But before you can arrive, your journey is interrupted when you receive a letter from your friend Titien with an urgent message. Titien has informed you that the 'Eye of the Kraken' has been stolen and that the culprit is aboard the very ship you are on. He has also told you to find the eye and catch the thief. You, of course, do as your friend asks and search for the culprit.
In general, the game is not linear, and some things can be done in any order. Most of the puzzles are object or inventory based, and none have a time limit. Some of the objects are pointless and are included to increase the comedy factor. You must locate and talk to the numerous animated characters that move around the ship. Conversations are text only, and descriptions of objects and locations also appear on the screen.
The backgrounds are colorful 2D graphics, drawn from an isometric perspective. The outdoor scenery changes between day and night; background music can be selected in-game.
