Cosmic Carnage

SEGA 32X 1994
Cosmic Carnage is a one-on-one fighting game set in outer space. The story begins when a prison barge is hijacked by its cargo in an escape attempt. The resulting chaos causes the barge to crash into a military cruiser. The impact causes extensive damage to both ships. There are only 8 survivors, 4 from each ship. What's worse, there is only one escape pod. You control one of the 8 survivors and you have to take out all the others to escape alive. The gameplay of Cosmic Carnage is similar to Street Fighter 2, but with a much slower pace. Some of the fighters can be customized with different armor combinations, giving them access to different special moves.

Mazin Saga: Mutant Fighter

Genesis 1993
The story takes place in 1999, where a biological beast called Godkaiser Hell has reigned over the Earth, after a nuclear and biological holocaust has disfigured most of the population and formed an army called the Steelmask Force. The survivors have fled underground and are constantly attacked by the horde of biological beasts, until one day a scientist named Dr. Kabuto creates a mech, the Mazinger-Z, that can be used against the monsters. This is where the player takes control of the game's protagonist and pilots the suit in an attempt to take back the Earth. The game is a hack-n-slash, where the player controls the suit with the D-pad and uses the face buttons to hit enemy monsters. There is also a Super Attack that the player can use, but it will decrease their health after each use. Enemies consist of mutant animals such as dogs and beetles, as well as Bio-Beast soldiers, which can be normal soldiers, female fighters and even ninjas. There are five levels in total (Tokyo, Asia, Europe, New York and Egypt) divided into three stages with a mini-boss and a main boss that the player must defeat to advance to the next level. There are also items scattered throughout the levels that will give the player extra points, health recharges, an extra life and even a brief period of invincibility.
