Anito: Defend a Land Enraged is a 2003 Windows game developed by Filipino company Anino Games. It is a real-time strategy game set in the 16th century Philippines, during the Age of Exploration.
The player takes on the role of Bernardo de los Santos, a young man whose parents were killed by the invading Spanish forces. Bernardo then joins a group of rebels who are fighting against the Spanish colonizers.
The game features a unique blend of real-time strategy and action-RPG gameplay. Players must not only build and manage their base, but also take direct control of their units in battle.
The game was well-received upon release, with critics praising its unique gameplay and setting. It has since been included in several lists of the best Filipino video games of all time.
