Paratrooper II

DOS 1999
This game is based on the original Paratrooper game, but has some new features, like a 2-player mode, for example. Also the graphics and sounds are new.

Tank2

DOS 2000
You drive a tank to complete a special mission, namely to destroy the new type of torpedoes, which are not launched from a submarine, but from a torpedo house. . . You start with a side view of a tank, on the far left of a long side-scrolling battlefield, and you have to drive your tank to the far right without touching any obstacles or being hit by enemy fire. Obstacles include exploding barrels, shallow ditches, narrow streams, turret-mounted guns, and enemy tanks. Once you reach the center of the screen, it begins to scroll with your tank's progress, keeping you centered. Soft targets can be shot down with the machine gun, while hard targets require the main gun. Firing the main gun is followed by a reload time, during which you cannot fire for a few seconds. The machine gun, however, can be fired without interruption, becoming the bane of all guns. The movement of your tank is controlled with the cursor keys; you move sideways with the up/down keys, and accelerate to the right by holding down the right arrow key. You brake with the left arrow key, and fire the machine gun and main gun with the ctrl key and space bar. The tank can only move forward on the field, not backward, with lateral movements necessary to aim its fixed guns at a target, or navigate a bridge. The tank cannot turn, but slides sideways while also moving forward, so the challenge is to go slowly enough to be able to get the tank in line with your target before you get too close and avoid possible back-firing by sliding quickly sideways. Your tank is not very sturdy, unfortunately: it can't touch any barrels, or it will explode. It can't cross any ditches or streams, or it will tip over without a bridge. Nor can it withstand a single enemy round, so the main task is one of survival, not so much of attack. Although enemy tanks have mastered the art of climbing shallow ditches, they still cannot turn/slide laterally, as can fixed turret guns that always fire in one direction, so it is possible to evade even these somewhat mobile enemies.
