Cosmic Memory

Mac 2002
Cosmic Memory is a space-themed concentration game. The player is presented with a series of monitors. Each monitor has an object that is revealed when the player clicks on it. The player can choose two monitors at a time and the goal is to reveal the same object. If they are not, the player has to choose another two until all pairs have been revealed. The player earns points for each pair he/she gets right and loses some points when he/she misses a pair. By matching consecutive pairs the player earns extra points. The game has two modes: normal and time trial. The normal mode is endless without any time restriction. In the time trial mode the player has to be fast and find the pairs before the time runs out. For each matched pair extra time is gained. There are three different difficulties to choose from and the difference between them is the size of the board.

One of the most impressive aspects of the game is its graphics and visuals. The game successfully captures the colorful and vibrant world of the film, with detailed character designs and environments. The animations are smooth and fluid, adding to the overall cinematic feel of the game. The voice acting is also top-notch, featuring the original voice cast from the film, including Reese Witherspoon, Seth Rogen, Will Arnett, and Hugh Laurie. Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions

Windows 2010
Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions was a highly anticipated game released for Windows in 2010, and it did not disappoint. Developed by Beenox and published by Activision, this action-packed game took the iconic web-slinging superhero to a whole new dimension - literally. The game begins with a mystical artifact, the Tablet of Order and Chaos, being shattered into pieces by Spider-Man's arch-nemesis Mysterio. These pieces are scattered across four dimensions - Amazing, Noir, 2099, and Ultimate - and it is up to Spider-Man to retrieve them before they fall into the wrong hands. What sets this game apart from previous Spider-Man games is the fact that players get to experience the different dimensions through four unique versions of Spider-Man. From the classic red and blue Amazing Spider-Man to the dark and mysterious Spider-Man Noir, each version has its own unique gameplay and storyline. This adds a dynamic element to the game, keeping players engaged and intrigued. The Amazing dimension is set in modern-day New York City and features the classic Spider-Man villains such as Doctor Octopus and Kraven the Hunter. The Noir dimension, on the other hand, takes players to the gritty 1930s and has a film-noir style, complete with black and white graphics and stealth-based gameplay. The 2099 dimension is set in the future, with a futuristic New York City and high-tech enemies for players to face. Lastly, the Ultimate dimension is a mix of all the previous dimensions, with a teenager Peter Parker and a darker, more ruthless version of Spider-Man. One of the most impressive aspects of Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is the attention to detail in each dimension. From the unique art styles to the different gameplay mechanics, every dimension feels distinct and fully realized. The voice acting is also noteworthy, with each Spider-Man voiced by a different actor, adding to the diversity of the game. In addition to the main storyline, there are also side missions and challenges for players to complete, adding to the replay value of the game. Players can also collect various upgrades and alternate costumes for Spider-Man, giving them even more reason to explore each dimension thoroughly. However, the game is not without its flaws. Some players may find the combat repetitive, and the camera angles can be frustrating at times. The boss battles, while visually impressive, can also be challenging and require precise timing and button combinations.
