Icewind Dale II
Barely a generation after the events described in the first Icewind Dale, a new threat has appeared in the northern region of the Forgotten Realms. Something - or someone - is trying to isolate the Ten Cities area from the rest of the world. Hordes of monsters are invading peaceful towns and killing their citizens. A group of adventurers find themselves in the region, and upon their arrival they are asked to help defend the city of Targos against the monsters' invasion. But once they have accepted the mission, the adventurers realize that it will only be the beginning of a long and dangerous journey....
Icewind Dale II is a role-playing game using the Infinity engine, first introduced in Baldur's Gate. Like its predecessor, it is more combat-oriented than the Baldur's Gate games. Combat flows in real time, but the player can pause at any time to give orders to the controlled characters. At the beginning of the game, the player creates the entire party, up to six characters. The game uses the rules from the third edition of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons. There are new character classes (such as monk or wizard), new races (e.g. drow) and many new spells. The game features pre-rendered isometric backgrounds, like its predecessors.
Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader
During the Third Crusade, King Richard the Lionheart ordered the massacre of three thousand prisoners during the siege of Acre. The spiritual consequences of this act were used by a mysterious character in a ritual that tore the very fabric of reality, opening a dimensional rift that allowed magical energies and demonic creatures to invade our Earth. Four hundred years later, a humble slave is suspected of possessing magical powers. Through a series of events, he discovers that he is a descendant of King Richard, and his unique abilities may be the only key to humanity's battle against dark forces.
Lionheart is a role-playing game set in an alternate version of the 16th century, where magic and monsters exist openly. The game is set in various countries, from the city of Barcelona to locations in the Middle East. Real historical figures such as William Shakespeare, Galileo Galilei and others appear in the game, although often modified according to the fantastic setting of the game. The game uses the S.P.E.C.C.I.A.L. system of character development borrowed from Fallout, with the same main attributes and some common skills and perks, with the addition of new magic-related ones. There are also racial differences, with four races to choose from for the protagonist: pureblood human, demokin, feralkin or sylvant.
The first half of the game takes place in and around the city of Barcelona, and consists of free-form questing and character creation, with various factions to join and different ways (combat, stealth, diplomacy, etc.) of overcoming problems. The game becomes noticeably more combat-oriented in its second half. Combat in the game is action-based and is similar to Diablo in its execution. Several characters can join the protagonist if certain conditions are met, and assist him in combat. These companions are fully controlled by the AI.

Van Buren
In 2003, the gaming world was abuzz with excitement over the much-anticipated release of Van Buren, a post-apocalyptic role-playing game set in the Fallout universe. Developed by Black Isle Studios and published by Interplay Entertainment, Van Buren was intended to be the fourth installment in the critically acclaimed Fallout series. However, due to financial troubles and other complications, the game was ultimately cancelled.
Fans of the Fallout series were devastated by the cancellation of Van Buren, as it promised to continue the immersive and engrossing gameplay that had made the previous games so beloved. Set in the year 2253, 20 years after the events of Fallout 2, Van Buren would have followed a new protagonist on their journey through the bleak and desolate wasteland of the American Southwest. The game also promised to delve deeper into the darker themes of the Fallout universe, exploring the concept of slavery and the ethical dilemmas that come with it.
One of the most unique features of Van Buren was its emphasis on player choice and consequences. Just like its predecessors, the game was designed to give players complete freedom in how they approached each situation, and their decisions would have a lasting impact on the world around them. The Karma system, which had been a staple in the Fallout series, was also going to play a major role in Van Buren, with different factions reacting to the player according to their moral alignment.
In terms of gameplay, Van Buren was set to introduce new mechanics and improvements to the already established gameplay of the Fallout series. The game would have utilized a 3D engine, allowing for more detailed and dynamic environments to explore. It also promised a more refined character creation system, with a larger variety of skills and perks to choose from. Combat was also set to be improved, with the addition of cover mechanics and the ability to aim at specific body parts.
Despite its cancellation, Van Buren remains a highly anticipated and sought-after game by fans of the Fallout series. With its intriguing storyline, vast open world, and improved gameplay, it could have been one of the greatest games in the franchise. While it may never see the light of day, the legacy of Van Buren still lives on in the hearts and minds of gamers who continue to hold onto the hope of one day experiencing this highly anticipated game.
