Mystery Master: Felony!

There's a crime wave in the town of Huxley! As a master of mystery, you have to help the police solve 12 different crimes that have taken place. Throughout each of the cases you can interrogate suspects, search for clues in various locations, or use the resources of the police station to analyze the clues. To win, you have to find out who the criminal is within the time limit, as well as gather enough evidence to convict him and send him to jail. Included with the game is a manual containing the story of each of the 12 cases along with hundreds of clues. When the computer reveals clues from searches or interrogations, it will give you a number to look up in the manual for more information. To succeed, you will need to carefully study the backstory and take notes as the plot unfolds. The game can be played by a single player, or up to four players can compete against each other to see who solves the case first.

Mystery Master: Murder by the Dozen

Become a police detective and solve 12 murders in Micropolis. Players interview witnesses, gather evidence and examine lab reports to get the clues they need to solve each case. Every action, especially moving between locations, adds time to the game clock. One to four people can play, competing to see who solves the mystery first and in the optimal amount of time. Once the case is presented, players take turns choosing an option, getting a clue number and looking it up in the manual. When a player thinks he has it solved, he presents his solution to the others. He then searches for the complete solution. If it is 100% correct, he wins and the players start a new case. If any detail is wrong, he is out of the game and the others continue on to the solution. (Note that the computer requires the player's honesty in asking whether or not he got it right).
