The movement controls are simple and straightforward, allowing for an enjoyable experience even for novice gamers. Masterfully weaving together the original scores from the film series, this game’s audio design heightens the tension as players progress through the stages.
Although released in 1985, the visuals and graphics still hold up remarkably well and prove to be quite pleasing to the eye. Young Sherlock: The Legacy of Doyle
The MSX game Young Sherlock: The Legacy of Doyle, released in 1987, is a classic adventure style title featuring an iconic protagonist. Players become the iconic detective, solving cases, collecting clues, and finding the mysterious mastermind responsible for the death of his childhood friend, Peter.
The title features an extensive backdrop, with the player being able to visit various classic Sherlock Holmes locations such as the crime scene at the 221 B Baker Street address, the London Library and even 221 B Baker Street itself. There are also locations across London which can be explored as the player seeks to unravel the plot.
Gameplay is designed to be intuitive and engaging. As a detective, the player must deduce and deduce, investigating suspects and spending time in the laboratory to research evidence and analysing clues.
