Wielding a flotation device similar to Toobin's, but with jet propulsion, you face the supreme title of 'Airheart' as you navigate or fight off robotic defenses.
The robots themselves can damage you and the ship, destroying them without removing their pod will re-emerge. The guardian spirits will prompt you to collect certain items such as a sword or a cup before you can enter the final battle and free the boy prince. Beware of the bubbles that enclose you or the dangers above and below the water. It was later re-released as a Deluxe version titled Typhoon Thompson in Search for the Sea Child for 16-bit computers.
Typhoon Thompson in Search of the Sea Child is an improved remake of the Apple II game Airheart. It is an unusual game in which you have to fly across an ocean and shoot various unusual beasts.
The plot revolves around a 'Sea Child' that has been stolen, and Typhoon Thompson is sent to rescue it, with the guidance of some strange hooded ghost types (who are occasionally nasty to poor TT).
While the original game could be controlled with a joystick, this game is controlled with the mouse.
