Crypto Cube

20 thematic words are arranged in the shape of a cross on the faces of a three-dimensional cube. You have to guess and discover them. A mascot, the Wuzzle, informs you of your progress. When you uncover the words, you get: a blank square - no points and the turn is over; a vowel - 5 points and another turn; a consonant - you get a question mark and must guess the letter - a hit means 10 points and another turn, a miss - 5 points and the turn is over. There are also bonus squares that allow you to choose an extra square on the side of the current cube, as well as one on another side. The user can add new word lists, apparently for children to practice their spelling homework.

Designasaurus

Designasaurus, released in 1988, is a classic DOS game that has captivated the hearts of gamers for decades. Developed by Ludicrous Games, this retro game is a perfect representation of the popular video games from the late 80s and early 90s. The main objective of the game is to design your very own dinosaur kingdom. From the terrain to the types of dinosaurs, the player has complete creative control over their prehistoric world. The game starts with a simple patch of land, and it is up to the player's imagination to turn it into a fully-functioning dinosaur paradise. The gameplay is simple yet addictive. The graphics may seem outdated by today's standards, but for its time, it was groundbreaking. The bright colors and pixelated designs add a nostalgic charm to the game. It creates an immersive experience, transporting players back to the golden era of gaming. One of the most appealing aspects of Designasaurus is its educational value. Through the game, players can learn about the different types of dinosaurs, their habitats, and their diet. It is a fun and interactive way to learn about these ancient creatures. The game also incorporates elements of strategy and resource management, making it both entertaining and educational. On top of the gameplay, Designasaurus also offers a feature that allows players to print out their dinosaur designs. This feature was revolutionary at the time as it allowed players to take their creations off the screen and into the real world. Designasaurus was well-received by gamers and critics alike. It earned numerous awards and accolades, solidifying its place as a DOS gaming classic. It even spawned a sequel, Designasaurus II, which was released a year later. The sequel improved upon the original game with enhanced graphics and features. Although it has been over three decades since its release, Designasaurus remains a beloved game among retro gamers. Its simplistic yet engaging gameplay, educational value, and nostalgic graphics have stood the test of time. It continues to be a shining example of how a simple concept can turn into an iconic game.
