Kubes

Atari ST 1993
Kubes is a puzzle game written in STOS in which you have to arrange falling blocks of similar colors in groups. When you get a vertical or horizontal group it will disappear and you will get some points. When the blocks reach the top of the play area the game is over. Before starting the game you can select at which level to start and how many blocks a group has to have before it disappears. You can't move individual blocks but you can move whole rows; move the marker to the row you want to move and then use the keys to move that row to the left or to the right.

Warzone

Released in 1993, Warzone is a classic game for the Atari ST that has captured the hearts of gamers for decades. Developed by Fountainhead Entertainment, this futuristic war simulation game takes players on a thrilling journey through a dystopian world, where they must lead their army to victory against enemy forces. The game is set in the year 2051, where the world has been ravaged by war and destruction. As the leader of a military force, players must strategize and make crucial decisions to ensure the survival of their troops and ultimately claim victory. The graphics of Warzone, although limited by the capabilities of the Atari ST, are still impressive for its time, with detailed landscapes and well-designed cities. This makes for an engaging and immersive gaming experience that kept players coming back for more. Moreover, Warzone offers a variety of game modes, adding to its replayability factor. Players can choose to play as either the Commander or the Headhunter, each with their unique set of challenges and objectives. The Commander mode focuses on building and managing an army, while the Headhunter mode is a single-player campaign where players must accomplish various missions to progress through the game. What sets Warzone apart from other strategy games of its time is its advanced AI. The game features an intelligent enemy that adapts to the player's tactics and strategies, making the gameplay even more challenging and realistic. This added level of difficulty keeps players on their toes and makes every playthrough a unique experience. In terms of sound, Warzone doesn't disappoint. The game features a catchy soundtrack that adds tension and excitement to the gameplay. The sound effects are also well-designed, immersing players in the chaos of battle. Combined with the impressive graphics, Warzone provides a fully immersive gaming experience that is ahead of its time.
