An undersea nuclear research base has been invaded by a hostile ship. Captain Dawnrazer is sent to wipe out the aliens and other beings, and that's where you come in. Deep Core is a dark platform adventure with similarities to Gods. There are nine main levels, each of which is divided into sub-levels and also has bonus sections starting from them. Each of the 6 weapons on offer can be powered up.
In the game you are a noble ninja who has to prove the honor of the shogun Yuichiro by recovering a sword stolen from the evil Toranaga. Walking from a village to a castle, you fight enemies and avoid traps using your skills in martial arts and Japanese weapons, collecting useful items and discovering the twisted plot of the story.
Using the keyboard you can walk from one screen to another, jump and pick up objects. With the two mouse buttons you can kick or punch opponents, as well as use, hit or drop the collected items.
