Matt Hayes' Fishing
Matt Hayes Fishing is a fishing simulation game that can be played as an offline single game or as an online multiplayer game with up to eight players.
There are four game modes;
- Matt's Challenge: There are three levels in each challenge and to progress to the next the player must achieve a top three ranking in each. Each challenge level has specific objectives and bonuses, such as a remote flag drop showing where the really big fish are, which are awarded if the player catches the level's 'bonus fish'.
- Fishing trip: This is fishing without competition or objectives. The player decides where to fish, sets the lake conditions and difficulty level and then plays the game.
- Tournament: This mode reproduces a fishing tournament in which the highest weight of fish landed wins. The player decides the location, difficulty level and duration, and the game sets the lake conditions, sorted species, etc.
- Multiplayer: The multiplayer game is played on a computer and is started with the 'Create Game' option from the main menu. In multiplayer mode, only Fishing Trip and Tournament games are available.
In all its modes, the game offers tips and tricks and appendices in the game manual explain fishing terms and techniques.
The game can be played with the keyboard, mouse, joystick or Madcatz fishing rod, for which the game supports the vibration function.
