Bazaru de Gozaru no Game de Gozaru
Bazaru de Gozaru no Game de Gozaru is a puzzle game starring a monkey named Bazaru. The concept of the game is remotely similar to that of Lemmings: the player's task is to 'program' the protagonist's actions to safely traverse a stage full of traps and dangers. Unlike Lemmings, in this game there is only one primate to control; moreover, the player's 'programming' must be done before releasing the monkey, unlike in Lemmings.
The player basically commands the monkey what to do at specific points (which are highlighted with exclamation points on the level map). At first, the levels are short and simple, and the monkey can only perform one action. As the game progresses, the puzzles become increasingly complex, as do the number of actions the monkey must perform to get to safety.
Actions include, but are not limited to: running, jumping (in both directions), rolling, pushing, sitting, etc. New actions are learned as the player progresses. The player must study the level carefully and often predict the behavior of hostile characters, as well as the laws of physics, as the monkey can easily get trapped, killed by enemies, fall off cliffs, etc. For example, a wild boar will immediately charge at the monkey; taking advantage of the momentum, the player can use the animal as a springboard to jump to higher ground.
Many levels can be solved in different ways. Alternative solutions are more difficult to figure out, but can lead to bananas, coins and other things of interest.
Pulseman
Pulseman is a side-scrolling action-adventure game released in 1994 for the Sega Genesis. Developed by Game Freak and published by Sega, it is a classic game that still has a place in the hearts of many gamers.
The game follows the main character, Pulseman, a cyborg created from a combination of human and computer technology.
