CJ in the USA

The sequel to CJ's Elephant Mischief, in which we discover that El Cazador has kidnapped CJ's brothers and sisters and trapped them in various locations around the United States. Needless to say, young CJ sets out to rescue them. The game is a standard platforming title, where you can shoot peanuts at your enemies, or use the bombs you collect. You start with 9 lives, which seems generous, but the levels are full of spikes and baddies that can come after you at any time. Enemies include cops, Indians, dogs, and burly soccer players (a rather stereotypical view of Americans). Each level has a guardian at the end.

CJ's Elephant Antics

CJ, the baby elephant, has escaped from captivity and is desperate to reach his home in Africa. That means traveling halfway around the world, armed only with an infinite supply of peanuts and a handful of bombs (fortunately, you can pick up more as you go). You start with nine lives, but the game design is such that many deaths will be unexpected, so prior knowledge of the layouts is essential to get through most sections of the five levels without losing lives. In two-player mode, the screen follows the main player, so the main player can lose lives if he falls too far behind. With many precise jumps across vertically advancing ledges, a lot of skill and timing is required.

Nobby the Aardvark

Nobby the Aardvark sets out on a hunt for Antopia after a ready-to-eat ant told him about this wonderful place. Thus begins Nobby's quest through eight levels of ant heaven. Nobby the Aardvark is a mix of gameplay styles including platforming, multi-scrolling, and top-down maze levels. Vehicles included are a hot air balloon and a submarine. The joystick is used to control Nobby and the fire button is used to fire objects. If Nobby runs out of ants to shoot, he can reload them in an ant hill.

Spike in Transilvania

After a rough crossing of the North Sea, Spike the Viking is washed ashore. He ends up in Transylvania, which appears to be an ordinary town. However, he discovers that his shipmates have been captured and imprisoned in the dungeons of the local castle. Spike must rescue his friends from the mysterious castle, but first he has to escape from the (seemingly friendly) villager's house where he is, as the door won't open. The game is a mix of puzzles and action. The action consists of dodging various enemies, like dogs, ghosts, bats, etc. and avoiding the numerous traps in the castle dungeons. You only have a limited amount of energy, and if you lose all of it by touching enemies or traps, you lose a life. If you lose all lives, you lose the game. The puzzles, which are mostly fairly simple, involve both the use of objects, such as money to bribe a guard, and switches that perform various functions, such as disabling traps. Keys are very important, as they are needed to unlock the cells of your companions. Some cells are protected by guards, who must be tempted in some way to reach the cells they guard.
