Heavy Nova
In a time of frequent alien attacks, Earth has a unified government, which relies on a line of cyborgs known as the Heavy Dolls for defense. The largest are known as the Heavy Nova, a title you earn by passing a rigorous training regimen.
You face simulated testing grounds, which are divided into two alternate styles of action. In the first you must progress (initially purely horizontally, though later also with vertical scrolling) through a hostile environment of enemies, bombs and traps, earning points for doing so quickly and with plenty of energy remaining. Initially you can fly and kick as needed.
Once you complete this section, you move on to Street Fighter 2-style one-on-one combat, with the first few enemies having much less energy than you have at the start. As you progress through the game, you are granted additional attack moves, similar to Brutal: Paws of Fury.
