Brainstorm: The Game Show

Windows 2002
Brainstorm captures the spirit of a typical quiz game. Players can create an animated character and play alone, answering a series of multiple choice questions within a time limit. This is called the time trial mode. There is also a 'Brain Clash' mode in which a player can choose up to five computer-controlled opponents. In addition, there is a single-player Einstein mode that only uses level 3 (the hardest and highest scoring problems). Brainstorm is also available in multiplayer mode, allowing multiple players to take turns answering questions in Hot Seat mode on a single computer. Players can also compete against each other in real time via TCP/IP LAN play. The graphics and characters are cartoonish, and the computer-controlled opposing players and game show hosts constantly launch taunts (which can be disabled in the game settings). The game contains more than 6,500 questions from various fields, such as literature, sports, geography and science.

Worlds of Billy 2

Windows 2002
Worlds of Billy 2, released in 2002, is a classic game that continues to captivate gamers even after nearly two decades since its debut. Developed by XYZ Entertainment, this Windows game is the sequel to the hugely popular Worlds of Billy, and it definitely lives up to its predecessor's reputation. In this game, players take on the role of Billy, a young hero who must traverse various worlds to save his beloved princess from the clutches of an evil sorcerer. The game combines elements of adventure, action, and puzzle-solving, making for a well-rounded and engaging gameplay experience. One of the standout features of Worlds of Billy 2 is its colorful and immersive worlds. From lush forests to dark and dangerous dungeons, each level is beautifully designed and filled with intricate details that bring the game to life. And with a total of eight different worlds to explore, players are in for hours of gameplay that never gets dull. But don't let the charming graphics fool you, this game is not without its challenges. Each world is filled with various enemies that Billy must defeat using his sword or various power-ups scattered throughout the levels. And in true RPG fashion, Billy can upgrade his equipment and abilities as he progresses through the game, making him a formidable foe against even the toughest of enemies. One aspect of this game that sets it apart from others of its time is its unique boss battles. Each world culminates in a final boss fight, where players must use their wits and reflexes to defeat the powerful sorcerer and save the princess. These intense and thrilling battles add an extra layer of excitement to the game and make for truly memorable moments. In addition to its main quest, Worlds of Billy 2 also features various mini-games and side quests that add to the game's overall experience. These include puzzle-solving challenges and mini-boss fights that offer rewards such as additional power-ups and coins to purchase upgrades.
