Pub Pool

DOS 1987
Pub Pool is a unique pool game from Mastertronic. Unlike other serious pool simulators, the idea behind Pub Pool is simple: shoot six billiard balls into each corner of a hexagonal pool table, using as few moves as possible. The game is played from a top-down perspective, using a simple but effective interface that allows you to adjust your cue spin, direction, etc. You can miss 5 times (a miss is counted when your shot doesn't pocket any balls), and it's game over. You can compete against another human player in hot seat mode, or against a computer player. The crowd around the table comments on your shots, although they seem to have only good things to say ;) Overall, the game is simple, but fun and effective. A good choice for passing coffee breaks, Pub Poolis a refreshing change from the typical pool game.
